Challenge

A major international airline needed to modernise its IT infrastructure to improve efficiency, agility, and customer service. With a long-term goal of moving all of its business applications to the cloud, the airline had already placed most workloads on AWS and some on Microsoft Azure. However, it faced challenges in ensuring seamless, redundant connectivity between cloud platforms without adding complexity to configuration and management.

Solution

To solve this, the airline deployed CloudRouter®, which provided seamless, redundant connectivity across multiple sites and circuits. This allowed traffic to be routed dynamically between AWS and Azure, eliminating the need for complex manual configuration and ongoing management.

Outcome

With this solution in place, the airline:

  • Runs the majority of its workloads in the cloud with resilient, automated connectivity across AWS and Azure.
  • Is now positioned to complete its goal of running 100% of business applications in the cloud.
  • Has created a foundation for ongoing innovation while delivering faster, more reliable services to its customers and reducing costs.
